Location - Lat. 37° 11' 11"N, Lon. 107° 52' 47" W, in , Hydrologic Unit 14080104, on the right bank 3.2 miles downstream of the dam at Ridges Basin Reservoir (Lake Nighthorse), 330 feet upstream of the confluence with the Animas River, in the downstream end of a concrete box culvert under County Road 213.

Drainage Area and Period of Record - 17.9 sq. mi., however Ridges Basin Reservoir (above gage on channel) is filled via pumping plant from the Animas River in Durango. Period of Record: July 9, 2014 to present.

Gage - Sutron Constant Flow Bubbler (CFB) and a Sutron Satlink 2 (v2) HDR DCP. Orifice line is located at a concrete ramp flume in the downstream side of the box culvert running under CR 213. Primary reference gage is a staff gage in the box culvert. DCP is the primary record. Datum of the gage is approximately 6248 ft above MSL, from Google Earth.
