Location - Lat. 37°04'20.17" Long. 108°09'55.16" NAD83 in NE¼SE¼ sec. 29, T.33 N., R.12 W., NMPM La Plata County, Hydrologic Unit 14080105, on left bank 1.2 miles upstream of Long Hollow Dam and 1.5 miles south of the town of Redmesa.

Drainage Area and Period of Record - 10.2 sq. mi. from USGS StreamStats Period of Record: Gage installed in May 2014. Satellite telemetry equipment installed in August 2014. Provisional electronic data (GOVDRACO) August 2014 to present. Published streamflow record Oct. 2014 to present.

Gage - Sutron Satlink 2 V2 DCP connected to a Stage-Discharge-Recorder (SDR) inside a 4' by 4' steel shelter and 4’ diameter concrete well with steps. The control is a 2-foot concrete Parshall flume equipped with a staff gage located at the Ha position on the right side of the flume. The outside staff gage is the primary reference. One intake connects the flume to the well. The intake is a 2-inch galvanized pipe with flush valve inside the well. A 2-inch flush riser is located outside the well. The valve key is stored inside the shelter. Datum of gauge is 6,330 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map.
