Location - UTM x: 516794.1 m, UTM y: 4162469.8 m (NAD83). Gage is located approximately 1 mile west of Walsenburg, CO, off Hwy 160. Proceed west from Walsenburg on Hwy 160, turn left on farm road immediatly before incline for railroad overpass. Follow farm road to gate and gage is in pasture straight ahead.

Drainage Area and Period of Record - N/A -- conveyance ditch. Gage installed in May 2009. Period of Record: N/A

Gage - Measuring Device: 3' fiberglass Parshall Flume. Gage consists of fiberglass stilling well on side of flume and Sutron shaft encoder (electronic stage-sensor). Shaft encoder is logged and Tx'ed to satellite by Satlink2. Metal staff gage in flume is reference gage. Note: well is shallow and silt load in ditch is heavy -- well and flume need to be cleaned frequently. Cooperator: Walsenburg Water Dept. Purpose: Measures Coler Ditch aug flows released from Martin Reservoir.
